How Points Work

Food challenges are awarded league points based on the weight, portion size, and difficulty of the challenge.
The bigger the challenge, the more points available — making your venue a must-visit destination for competitive eaters.

Important Information for Venues

Food venues may submit up to three food challenges per season to the British Eating League.

A £150 seasonal certification fee is charged per venue. This fee ensures that all challenges are carefully reviewed to confirm they are suitable for BEL and can be conducted in a safe and controlled environment. It includes:

  • Challenge review and approval
    Official BEL certification
League points allocation based on challenge size and difficulty
Promotion across BEL platforms and partner pages

Additional food challenges can be added later in the season at a discounted rate, subject to availability and approval.
